Welcome to "THE CARD OF THE WEEK!"

Today we have a card made by Lilia Rytsar, one of the international members of the Robyn's Fetish Design Team.  Lilia lives in Canada and joined our team in December, 2011.

Lilia's personal blog, "Lilia's Stamping and Stitching," is written in both Ukrainian and in English, so please do not think that you can not read about her gorgeous creations there.

Recently, Lilia created this beautiful easel card for THE ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE, when the theme was "Anything Goes!"

She used the Robyn's Fetish digital stamp, "KATIE READING," which is available in our store.

FRONT OF CARD - CLOSED

CARD OPENED

To create this beautiful card in rich tones of golden yellow and orange, Lilia used card stock from the American Crafts "Primaries Collection" and patterned papers from the Basic Grey "Piccadilly" set.
Lilia printed out the image and cut it and a yellow layer using the Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels I" small dies.

The image is colored with Copic markers. How beautiful the shading is on this image!  Lilia is one of our "master colorists" when it comes to Copics.

Next there are those tiny butterflies made from the Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly 3 in 1 punch.  They were punched from both the yellow card stock and the Basic grey papers and scattered on the card with their wings bent to create dimension.

The flowers are from www.iamroses.com and include a large tangerine petals daisy, a small yellow petals daisy, and a small yellow flower for the center. Behind this is a skeleton leaf in a matching tangerine shade.

In the left corner is a grouping of 3 yellow daisies, each with a self adhesive rhinestone center in "SUNFLOWER YELLOW" and some yellow branches made with the Martha Stewart "BRANCH" punch.

A lovely computer generated sentiment, created by Lilia's best friend, completes this wonderful card.  It has been cut using Spellbinders Shapeabilities FANCY TAGS and  is embellished with "SUNFLOWER YELLOW" self adhesive rhinestones.  A tiny butterfly is perched on the sentiment to accent it.

If you would like to be inspired by some incredibly beautiful and creative cards and paper projects, visit Lilia's Stamping and Stitching.  You will be so happy that you did!  Become a follower and see everything that Lilia creates.  You will love the variety of her work.

Thank you, Lilia, for allowing me to showcase your beautiful card!

"THE CARD OF THE WEEK" - 5/24/2012

Click here for "CHRISTINE'S AWESOME FRIDAY."

Welcome to " THE CARD OF THE WEEK."

Today I have the pleasure of showing you one of the cards made by Kym Pendered, one of our own ROBYN'S FETISH DESIGN TEAM members.

Kym comes from the UK and joined our design team in January, 2012.  Right from the very start Kym has been designing very lovely and creative projects and cards for our challenges.

The card she made for our current challenge, "Anything Goes!", is made with the elegant digital stamp by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More called, "LILY."

Beginning  with a scalloped edge card base, Kym then added a lovely piece of yellow polka dotted paper.  To add interest to the corners, she added some delicately shaped corner designs in a darker yellow polka dotted paper.

She colored the image with promarkers.  Both the image layer and the larger golden layer behind it were created by using die cuts shapes.

An elegant black flourish was added behind these, as was a digital ribbon with the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment.

This is a beautiful anniversary card for some lucky couple!

Kym's personal blog, Kimmy's Kards,  is filled with lovely projects.  Even the simplest card design is elegant because of the colors and embellishments she chooses.

Sometimes Kym even uses her Cricut machine for her samples, which is a real treat for all of us on the Design Team and our readers.  We enjoy seeing what she will come up with next and so will you!

Take a break, sit down with a cup of tea, relax and enjoy a nice visit to Kym's blog!

You will come away feeling creative and eager to try some of her techniques on your own projects.
Become a FOLLOWER and see what Kym creates each week!

Thank you, Kym, for allowing me to showcase your beautiful "LILY" card!  It is one of my personal favorites!

"CHRISTINE'S AWESOME FRIDAY" - HOW TO MAKE HAND MADE FLOWERS - 5/18/2012

Click here for The Current Challenge
Click here for The Card Of The Week

Christine's Awesome Friday Tutorial

Hi everyone!  I am so glad to be back for this Fridays tutorial.  My computer crashed and I had to order another one.  I finally received it Tuesday.  Then Had to take it to get it started up.  I have missed all my crafting buddies this last week and half.  So here we go for our tutorial.

Handmade Flowers

I seen this done with  a Stamping Up Kit.  Since I do not belong to Stamping Up,  I thought of a way to do this flower.  So here we go.

Supplies Needed
Sweet Treats Circut Cartridge
Off White Paper
Distressing Ink  I used Faded Jeans
Brads
Water
Something to punch a hole
Glass
Healing Mat

Step 1
Take your off white paper and place on the circut sticky sheet.  Then place the sheet in the cutter and cut 8 scalloped flowers.

Step 2
Take your 8 flower shapes off the sticky sheet and put on the glass.

Step 3
Now distress with you Faded Jeans Ink around the edges of the flower.

Step 3
Take your water bottle an spray your inked flower shapes so they will be wet.

Step 4
Take your flower shapes and pinch the shapes together with your fingers.

Step 5
Take your pieces of rolled up flowers and undo them.

Step 6
Take all your pieces and stack them up on top of each other.

Step 7
Take something to punch a hole in the center of the flower shapes for your brad.

Step 8
Taking one layer at time gather the flower shape up toward the center.  Continue this until you have all the layers gathered up.

Step 9

The last step is to pull the layers apart slightly apart.  This will dry in a flower.

Isn't  this an awesome handmade flower.   I think you could use a flower punch to get the same effect.  Hope this helps you on some flower embellishments.

Hugz,
Christine
